Romantic Mediterranean Villa Antonia Wedding Inspiration

My design for this romantic old-world Mediterranean styled wedding was inspired by Villa Antonia. The terraces with sweeping views and the beautiful archways were two features I wanted to capture and highlight. So I opted to stage the ceremony altar under one of the largest archways on the property, which perfectly sits with the chapel in the background. This allowed for a stunning outdoor ceremony with the traditional element of the chapel situated just behind the married couple.

I absolutely love the textures of the light stone throughout the space in contrast with the smooth dark clay roof tiles, and I wanted to compliment those contrasting elements by incorporating a soft color palette of champagne, blush, and dusty lilac, with pops of bold hues of deep merlot, raspberry, and charcoal. We carried these colors throughout the wedding in the florals, tablescape, cake, bar design, and even the Bride’s scarf.

In ode to the Mediterranean style of the gorgeous villa, beautiful rich colored figs were also incorporated in the tablescape and cake designs. Dinner was staged on one of the elevated terraces with expansive views of the surrounding hillside. The tablescape design incorporated lots of texture and a blend of modern with traditional pieces.

Other highlights include a ‘Princess of Monaco’ nod, with our stunning Bride in a headscarf & oversized sunnies, sitting atop a classic car departing the wedding with her doting Groom.
